“What Really Gets in the Way of Us Being Good News People?” Lets address our myopic pneumatology, truncated ecclesiology…our default mode of limiting the gospel to my individual ticket to heaven. How is the Good News really good news for my waitress friend Mia at my favorite taphouse, or my friend Jeremy who owns my small town grocery store, or my aging dad who spends most of his time in the recliner?

Lets take apart and deduce the simple pieces of the Good News that Jesus came to bring us; what did he really mean when he said, “Repent, for the kIngdom of God is at hand.” Lets have conversations about the Good News Jesus gave us- How we live under Jesus’ reign here and now (Luke 4:18-19), restoring all things with justice and mercy (Col 1:19-20), calling people to follow a King as citizens of a new reality (Php 2:10-11), recovering the church’s role as a Kingdom outpost (Acts 2 and 4).
