It came like a double-whammy: First, the announcement came that Walt Disney World was shutting down as a precautionary move due to CoVid19. The next day, Disney announces they are releasing almost 10,000 employees from the Disney College Program as an extra precaution.
I tend to feel guilty when I rest. There’s this idea that runs around in my head that says if I’m not busy, I’m doing something wrong.
The more we laid our strategies aside and focused on praying for our mission field, the more doors began to open; the more we began to see God move in ways we could never have imagined.
I admit it. I live in a world of make believe. My sidewalks run through a Fantasyland. They also pass through a Tomorrowland, an Adventureland, and a Frontierland. And they all lead to a castle which towers high above them all.
The greatest challenge facing our missional community is the desire for convenience. Like a slow leak from a faucet, it drips and drips until it overflows, leaving everyone to wonder what happened and how it happened.
